Of Mice and Men
I had great ambitions of finishing my log cabin this long weekend. I'm still shooting for it, but read here for a tale of the best laid plans. But don't give up on me. I'm still working on it!

another LC
Realized that as I wait to get a better photo.. it's just not happening. So here is my first log cabin.. I started out walking two blocks to my favorite place to take pictures.. and have such a great neighborhood.. that as I stopped to talk to folks.. the sun faded a bit too much. ;)
But here it is anyway...
After such fast success.. I even started a second LC...
The first one was a grand total of eight days !
This one was about two weeks.. till I petered out, ;)
Unfortunately the final ring of logs is on hold as I start something new..the Cathedral Rose Window no less. hahaha..
I'm like that ya know. :D
Hope your all having a great holiday !
edit to add:
Mrs. Wade.. I see your adding to our patterns ..

I Finished My Log Cabin
I'm sorry I haven't posted progress pics of my log cabin, but I made it so quickly that I didn't have time. Here is the finished 'ghan:
I finished it in just under 6 weeks. I started on Nov. 15th and I finished it last night, Dec. 23rd. Log cabin fever, indeed! I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I will be giving it away later this week. I will definitely make another one eventually. Right now, I am going to take a few days off from crocheting and rediscover my knitting!

It seems the bulk of people want to allow quilters. So, quilters, bring it on. We want to see your log cabins too!

Here's my progress
It's kind of a "choose whatever looks good and has enough left to complete the six rows" kind of thing. I'm not sure how I feel about the red, white, and blue on the one edge. I guess we'll see what happens as I add some more. I don't know. What do you guys think? Be honest. Should I frog the red, white, and blue?
Oh, and pay no attention to the munchkin hand and foot. She sees a camera and turns on the smile wattage!
